Installing standalone SUM 20.0.0 (Beta) on Windows

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that you have administrator privileges.
  • Ensure that TCP port 63002 is available and not blocked by the firewall.
  • Ensure that Windows Server 2019 or later is installed.
  • Ensure that no active SUM 20.0.0 (Beta) installation is running on the system.
  • Ensure that the MSI installer package is available.
  • Ensure that a minimum of 10 GB of free disk space is available for installation, configuration, database, firmware baselines, and logs. Allocate additional space for firmware baseline uploads as specified in the system requirements section.

Procedure

  1. Download the SUM 20.0.0 (Beta) MSI installer from the supported repository.
  2. Double-click the .msi file to start the installation wizard.
  3. Review and accept the EULA.
  4. Specify the installation path or accept the default location.
  5. Click Install.
  6. Complete the installation and optionally enable auto-launch.
  7. Access the SUM 20.0.0 (Beta) UI using https://localhost:63002.

Results

The application is installed and runs as a background service.
