Adding firmware

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that you have administrator privileges.

  • Ensure that you have access to the UI.

  • Ensure that a valid firmware ISO file is available on the local system.
  • Ensure that sufficient system resources are available for upload and processing.

  • Ensure that a firmware baseline is configured prior to performing firmware updates, as uploading a firmware ISO (SPP bundle) enables the system to store the ISO, extract firmware metadata, and register the baseline for compliance verification and update operations.

About this task

Follow this procedure to add and configure a firmware baseline by uploading a firmware ISO (SPP bundle) file in the UI. The baseline specifies the target firmware versions that will be used for compliance assessments and firmware updates.

Procedure

  1. Access the UI using a web browser.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Firmware.
  3. Click Add firmware baseline.
  4. In the Add firmware baseline window, perform one of the following actions:

    • Select the firmware ISO file from the local system.

    • Drag and drop the firmware ISO file into the window.

  5. Click Continue.

    The file upload starts. Wait until the upload reaches 100%.

  6. Click Close.

Results

The firmware baseline is successfully added and configured. It can be viewed in the Activity window.
