Adding servers

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that you have administrator privileges.

  • Ensure that you have access to the UI.

  • Ensure that valid HPE iLO IP addresses are available for the servers to be added

  • Ensure that valid HPE iLO credentials are available for each server

Procedure

  1. Access the UI using a web browser.
  2. Select Servers on the left pane.
  3. Click Add server.
  4. On the Add server page, choose one of the following Range type:

    • Single HPE iLO address

    • Range of HPE iLO addresses

  5. Enter the IP address or IP range, and then click Add.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Review the detected servers.
    NOTE

    • Servers managed by Compute Ops Management and HPE OneView are excluded.

    • The system displays iLO address, iLO version, and SHA-256 fingerprint.

  8. (Optional) Choose one of the following to configure credentials:

    • Select Use same credentials for all iLOs to use the same login credentials for all the iLO hostnames/IPv4 address.

    • Select the required iLO hostnames/IPv4 address to configure credentials.

  9. Click Next.
  10. Review the servers to onboard.
  11. Click Finish and onboard servers.
  12. Click Close.

Results

The selected servers are added to the system and can be monitored in the Activity window.
