Description
============
This package contains the utilities and binaries for upgrading
firmware (boot code, PXE, UEFI, IPMI, CLP, NCSI and CCM code) 
on HP Ethernet networking adapters (Broadcom NX1 controller based) 
connected to supporting Proliant servers running supported 
Linux x86_64 OS distros.


Enhancements/Fixes
===================
- Fixes Description:
  - Fixes an issue where the sideband traffic on 2nd port stops after system 
    warm reboot, when both 1st & 2nd ports are enabled for transmit, and first 
    port is linked down.
  - Fixes an issue where the FW update fails when the PXE is upto date but the
    UEFI driver still needs update.

Introduction
============
This file describes the procedure to use for upgrading firmware on 
HP Ethernet networking adapters mentioned in the 'PRODUCTS AFFECTED'
section of this document.

Performing the Firmware Upgrade
===============================
1. This utility requires all the associated ethernet interfaces to be up. 
You can  bring up an ethernet interface by using the following command:

	# ifup ethx

	or

	# ifconfig ethx up
2. Firmware can be upgraded interactively using following command:

	# ./CP025022.scexe

3. The help menu lists all available command line options.

	# ./CP025022.scexe -h


Firmware Upgrade Log
====================
The results of the firmware upgrade are saved to the CP025022.log file
which is located at the /var/cpq/ directory. 


Important Information
======================
1) The adapter's ethernet interfaces may be down temporarily during the update process.
So any remote sessions via these interfaces will be disconnected temporarily.
